2023 NEET Exam: How to Properly Fill Out an OMR Answer Sheet

The NEET 2023 exam requires candidates to carefully fill in the OMR sheet. To ensure accurate readings by sensitive computer software, only use black ink to fill in the bubbles. Avoid scratching or making any marks over the sheet.

The OMR sheet includes boxes that require your roll number, test booklet number, and booklet code to be filled out. Use your 10-digit roll number as provided on your admit card and mark your 7-digit test booklet number with care.

Provide your name, father's name, and mother's name in the appropriate section in clear handwriting.
The paper contains 200 questions to be answered within a 200-minute time span, with 180 questions requiring answers. The multiple-choice questions (MCQ) are divided into physics, chemistry, and biology. There are two sections (A and B) for each of the three categories. Section A consists of 35 questions per subject while section B contains 15 questions per subject. Candidates must attempt all questions in section A and only ten in section B.


Only mark one answer per question. The final response must include a signature indicating the end of the test.
It is vital to confirm the code on the OMR sheet matches the code provided on the test booklet. Incorrect codes ought to be immediately reported to the invigilator.
In case of any language discrepancy, the English version shall be final.
