Buzz Buzz As a rule, we get calls and messages from people who don't identify themselves. Last but not least, these are just spam. There are times when these messages are extremely irritating. Most people waste a lot of time responding to spam from unknown senders. It's rude to interrupt someone while they're in the middle of a crucial task. If you're sick of getting spam on your phone and want to stop it, you can do so by turning on the Do Not Disturb feature. Find out more about DND, how it functions, and how to activate it on Airtel in this in-depth guide.

Simply put: what is DND?

'Do Not Disturb' is abbreviated as 'DND.' Indications are provided by the name alone. When you turn on Do Not Disturb, you won't receive any calls or texts from third parties, like scammers or marketers. Airtel, like most other telecom providers today, offers Do Not Disturb (DND) services that can be activated in a matter of seconds. If your cellular service provider offers this option, you can use it.

For what reason do you need to set DND?

The solution to this puzzle is simple. Turn on the Do Not Disturb (DND) service if you're sick of receiving spam calls and texts from unrecognized numbers. Disruption and annoyance are one thing, but in many cases, people lose their hard-earned money after being tricked by fraudsters into sharing personal data like their Bank Account Details, One-Time Passwords, CVVs, etc. Having this happen while you're in the middle of an online lecture or meeting, or God forbid, taking a test, could be disastrous. After turning on DND, you won't have to worry about any of that. You won't have to waste time guessing if an unknown contact is legitimate or just a spam or promotion message.

After learning about the benefits of DND, you can quickly sign up for it by using one of the simple options outlined below.

Airtel's online DND activation

First things first, visit the DND page on Airtel's website by clicking here.

The second step is to look for a large red box that says "click here" and then click on it. A single mouse click is all that's required.

Click the "GET OTP" button after entering your 10-digit phone number in Step 3.

Fourth, proceed to the next page after entering the correct one-time password that you were sent.

Fifth, select "Block All" from the drop-down menu in the subsequent window that opens.

So, there you have it. There will be no more annoying scam calls or spam messages.

Airtel DND Call/IVR Activation

First, call 1909 from the phone number you used to sign up.

Second, do as the interactive voice response system (IVR) suggests.

Simple and straightforward DND activation If you're having trouble with the previously mentioned technique, try this one instead.

The Airtel DND service can be activated by sending a text message.

One, send an SMS from your 10-digit registered number to 1909.

To put it simply, this is the simplest of the approaches we’ve discussed. If you're in a sluggardly mood and just want to get it over with as quickly and painlessly as possible, then activating DND via SMS is the way to go.

Enable DND by Field

Phone solicitations disguised as spam can occasionally prove useful. Financial institution loan notices, scholarship and grant alerts, job postings, and similar notifications all bring to our attention a potential advantage. Avoiding these kinds of communications may mean missing out on opportunities we really shouldn't pass up. For this reason, we employ Field Wise DND. Simply put, it allows you to blacklist certain areas from which you do not wish to receive any calls or messages.

When you switch your Airtel phone to the Partially Block Mode, you can use Field Wise DND in addition to the Fully Block Mode.

Several simple options are provided below for activating Partial Block Mode on your mobile phone number.

Initiate Partial Blocking Mode Online

First, go to the DND webpage on Airtel's official website by clicking here; this is done in a manner similar to the Fully Block Mode.

Step 2: Find the "click here" box at the bottom of the page. In order to proceed, simply select that option.

Three, enter your 10-digit phone number and then hit the "GET OTP" button.

To proceed to Step 4, you must first enter the correct one-time password that you received.

Step 5: Instead of selecting "Block All" on the new screen,   Choose Which Content to Filter

Use an SMS to activate partial blocking mode.

To activate a specific type of DND, send the appropriate digit to 2442 in a text message.

One: How do I sign up for DND?

If your network provider offers DND registration, you can easily register your phone number by following any of the aforementioned methods. The procedures are simple and quick.

When we turn on DND in Airtel, what will happen?

Turning on Do Not Disturb can stop annoying notifications. When activated, you'll stop receiving spam and scam calls, as well as fraud calls that steal personal information (like card numbers, OTPs, etc.). As if that weren't enough, we'll also be able to stop annoying promotional calls and messages from telemarketers.

Thirdly, how do I verify that Do Not Disturb is set to "on"?

When DND is turned on, the service will begin functioning in about a week. One immediate indicator will be a decrease in unwanted contact from spammers via phone or text. If you have any concerns, you can also verify the DND status.

How do I verify that I am not on DND?

Send the word "STATUS" to the number 2442 on your mobile device, and you'll get a text message with information about your DND's current status.
