Locating Your HDFC Customer ID

HDFC Bank, a prominent bank in India, has a large customer base within the country. In order to provide convenience to its customers, HDFC Bank offers a range of digital banking services. Customers can perform banking-related tasks from the comfort of their homes or offices by registering for HDFC's net banking or mobile banking services. These services allow customers to transfer funds, download account statements, and open or close fixed deposit accounts, among other things. To complete the registration process online, account holders need to provide their bank account details, including their HDFC customer ID, account number, and debit card details.

To activate either service, the first thing one needs is their HDFC Bank customer identification number. Typically, this is provided in the welcome kit issued to the account holder. However, if the account holder does not know their HDFC customer ID or has forgotten it, there are several ways to retrieve it.

If the account holder's mobile number is linked to their bank account, they can check their account balance by giving a missed call to a designated number.

A Customer ID is a unique identification number issued by the bank to every customer with a savings or current account. It can be used to avail online banking services provided by the bank, such as internet banking, mobile banking, and more.

If one wants to register for net banking service but does not have an HDFC net banking customer ID, they can easily find it by following the steps below.

The bank does not print the customer ID on cheque books, but there are different ways to find the HDFC customer ID, which are listed below:

• 2. Through bank account statement
• 3. Finding customer ID on bank passbook
• 4. Visiting the home bank branch

To find the customer ID, one can visit the bank's official net banking website: https://netbanking.hdfcbank.com/netbanking/. Simply search for HDFC Bank on Google or any other search engine to find the website. Once on the website, click on the "Forgot Customer ID?" link to find the HDFC customer ID number.

A form will appear on the screen; simply fill in the details that are asked for. This will help one retrieve their HDFC customer ID.

To begin, input your mobile number, which must be linked to your bank account, into the designated field. Following that, provide an accurate date of birth. For the next entry box, provide your PAN card number. You will then need to correctly enter the characters displayed in the captcha image shown in the form, which I have helpfully highlighted in the attached screenshot. Once all details have been entered, click the Continue button to retrieve your HDFC netbanking customer ID.

Next, you will be prompted to enter the one-time password (OTP) that was sent to your mobile number. After entering the OTP, click Continue to proceed.

That's all there is to it - your customer ID will be displayed on the following page. Make note of this important identification number for future reference.

Another convenient method for accessing your HDFC Bank customer ID is to check your bank account statement. If you do not have a physical copy, you can check for a digital version and locate your customer ID on the first page. Your HDFC Bank passbook will also contain this information, displayed on the front page beneath your account number and name.

In the event that you do not have access to the internet or any bank-related materials, simply visit your home bank branch or the nearest HDFC branch to retrieve your customer ID.
