"Seamlessly Link Your Bank Account to Google Pay Without a Debit Card"
Looking to link your bank account with Google Pay without a debit card? Unfortunately, it's not possible. In order to activate and use Google Pay, you must have an active debit card linked to your bank account. During the verification process, you will be prompted to enter the final digits of your debit card, so it's important to have it handy.
To add your bank account to Google Pay, follow these steps:
1. Open the Google Pay app and tap on your profile picture located at the top right of the screen.
2. Tap on "Add bank account" to begin the linking process.

3. Find your bank listed and select it. If you don't see your bank listed, it means that it is not compatible with Google Pay at this time.
4. An SMS will be sent from your mobile device to your bank to verify the account. Be sure to give Google Pay permission to send and receive this message.
5. Choose the bank account you want to link with Google Pay.
6. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the final digits of your debit card.
7. If you don't already have an active UPI PIN, Google Pay will prompt you to create one.
8. Once you've successfully verified the OTP, your bank account will be linked to Google Pay.

If you catch sight of the Google Pay screen flaunting a tick mark and a notification sound, take it as confirmation that your bank account has been successfully linked with Google Pay, bestowing you with the ability to undertake transactions on the app.
Note:
Please note that if you possess a Maestro debit card, it does not have an expiry date. In this case, feel free to use 01/49 as the expiry date whenever asked.
Important:
It is of utmost importance that you have updated the Google Pay app to its latest version before proceeding. During the registration process, refrain from closing the app to prevent any errors from sneaking in. Be sure to verify if your bank operates with UPI, as failing to do so may prevent you from integrating your bank account with Google Pay. It is essential that you are accessing Google Pay on the device that houses the SIM card (mobile number) associated with your bank. Lastly, ensure a stable internet connection, as smooth data connectivity is required for SMS verification purposes.
