The Paytm payments app offers users the Paytm Wallet, a frequently used feature. Although Paytm UPI can be used for direct inter-bank money transfers, the Paytm e-wallet further elevates the convenience of digital payments for its users. You can easily transfer money from your Paytm wallet to other users' wallets, as well as bank accounts without incurring any additional charges. Furthermore, you can send money to your own account from your Paytm wallet, or to a recipient's bank account, even if they are not a Paytm user.
How to Send Money from Paytm Wallet to a Bank Account?To transfer money from your Paytm wallet to a bank account, you can perform the following actions:
1. Open the Paytm mobile application and scroll down to the "My Paytm" section, then select "Paytm Wallet."
2. Upon opening your Paytm Wallet, the options to "Pay," "Transfer to Bank," "Send a Gift Voucher," and "Automatic Add Money" will appear.
3. To pay directly to a bank account, choose the "Transfer to Bank" option, then enter the desired amount (between Rs. 25 and Rs. 25,000) and the recipient's bank account information.
4. If you have previously sent money from your wallet to the recipient's bank account, you can choose from pre-saved accounts.
5. If adding a new account, you will need to enter the account number, IFSC, and account holder's name.
6. Alternatively, you can also pay into a bank account by clicking on the "Pay" option, which opens a QR code scanner that you can use to scan the UPI QR code of the recipient. You can send money from your linked bank account or Paytm wallet. Enter the mobile number or choose from your contacts. If they are UPI-registered, you can send money from your wallet or account.
7. To send money from your wallet, you must have a wallet balance, which can be added through UPI, credit/debit cards, or net banking. You can also set up "Automatic Add Money," where you can pre-set the amount to be added to your wallet each time it falls below a certain amount of your choosing. Your wallet balance is displayed at the top of the app.
With Paytm Wallet Transit cards, you can use your wallet balance to pay anywhere online, at stores, metros/buses, etc. In conclusion, the Paytm Wallet is an RBI-approved and secure wallet that can be used to recharge, pay utility bills, shop online, or pay friends/vendors. Additionally, the Paytm Wallet now offers a Transit card to enhance online payments. You can transfer money from one Paytm wallet to another wallet as well as from the wallet to a bank account for free. While no KYC verification is necessary for UPI payments, it is required for the Paytm wallet per RBI norms. With minimum KYC, users can add up to Rs. 10,000, and full KYC enables users to add up to Rs. 1 lakh.
