Switch to Vi Prepaid for Better Savings and Network Coverage
Are you dissatisfied with your current telecommunications service provider? Look no further if you are searching for faster data speeds, seamless network coverage, and an improved browsing experience. Switch to the Vi network without changing your current number in just two days.
The process of changing service providers without altering your existing number is known as Mobile Number Portability (MNP). With the revision of MNP regulations by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), transferring from one service provider to another is faster and more convenient for subscribers.
The new regulations benefit both telecommunications operators and subscribers, allowing subscribers complete freedom to switch to any network of their choice at any time. Read on for the step-by-step guide on how to transfer your number to the Vi network:
- New MNP Regulations and Process
- Switching to the Vi network is straightforward and stress-free.
- Officially, it takes only two days to transfer from your current operator to the Vi network.
- If you switch today, your current number will be deactivated, and your new number will be activated from midnight the next day.
- Your current prepaid account balance will not be carried forward to your new Vi prepaid account.
- To receive a Unique Porting Code (UPC) from Vi on your existing number, SMS PORT to 1900.
- The UPC, which is valid for four days, will be sent from Vi to your existing number almost immediately.
- Proof of Address (POA) and Proof of Identity or Aadhaar Card must be provided to complete the MNP process.
- Once your Prepaid MNP request is processed, you will receive your new Vi SIM card.
